Life goes so fast... why is it that when your a child, it goes slow and all you want to do is grow up only to open your eye's one day and find that your a year away from 40, your youngest child has just started school and your oldest is turning 21!

I certainly don't feel like an almost 40yr old mother of 4. I still think I can do things that I did 15 years ago. I look at my wonderful kids and think... when did all this happen? Why does it go so fast? And why can't I slow life down, just a little so I can enjoy just being alive?

My little girl has her first full week at school this week. I wonder how she will go... She kept asking on the weekend 'is it a school day?' and then was disappointed when I said no. hehehe

So, now what do I do with this new phase of my life? In short my 3 younger kids are all now at school and my eldest is no longer living with me. My house is quiet and I actually get to watch the TV if I want too.. I have a wonderful boyfriend who has 2 kids of his own at school. And things are going well.

I just don't know what to do with myself. I can't remember what inspires me or what I really like to do anymore. My focus has always been on my kids. It's only the second week of school back, so I guess I have time to find my feet again.

I am still a mum before and after school with after school activities and weekends.. so its just the times inbetween that I need to find something to focus my energy on....

I found this tree on my very first over seas adventure to New Zealand. After spending a week in the northern part of the south Island, we (that is my dearest friend) headed south to Queens town. Oh and I have to say, I just fell in love with the city at first sight!!

So after a long day of driving we decided to take a walk in the park. I first noticed the tree in church grounds and wondered at it's interesting shape.

A little while later I saw it! Just standing there inviting me to come join it. After impatiently waiting for my friend to take a picture or 3 of this magical tree, I quickly made my way over to it. Stopping briefly to admire its proud stature. There was made made benches under the tree around the trunk. I laid there admiring the trees magnificence and wondered at its unique design.
